I charge per project, depending on the complexity of the graphics, style sheets and master page, I calculate the estimated time and then price it as such. I also tailor the project to fit a clients budget. There is no project too small.
I ask to be provided with hi resolution logo’s and a colour template, as well as what type of SharePoint 2010 site it is (publishing, team site etc). I always do 3 site designs (mock ups) for the client. After the client has chosen a design, we work on the design until it is signed off. After Sign off, I request a 25% deposit and then I start working on the actual code and style sheet. Once the site has been deployed, I will invoice the client. I support all of my work for 3 months. This includes all bug fixing, and small changes (style sheet, images). Large changes will be invoiced accordingly. A site will take me up to 3 weeks to complete from Design sign off to Deployment. Scope Creep will be discussed and billed accordingly.
